The reason Emma looks so sad? It's literally freezing and like 6 am. We're in Black Mountain wishing Daddy luck on his 40 mile run up and back down the highest peak east of the Mississippi River! Fortunately, Starry was there to keep up company.
Nearly 9 hours after starting, after running through snow and ice, carrying several pounds of equipment on his back, Daddy is almost finished.
Well, Emma's not sure she wants to hug Daddy after all that running he's done. But we were VERY proud of him!
But Emma was finally happy again once we were back inside and she had her hot chocolate.
